If you could try a different job for a day, what would you choose?
I would be a nurse in an obstetrics ward – how great would it be to witness one of life’s happiest times? And who doesn’t love babies?
What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?
Be willing to take on new projects or assignments – you never know where it will lead or what you’ll learn.
What is your mantra?
Life is good – find something good in each day.
How do you get yourself out of a slump?
I like to travel for fun, even if it’s a short trip. It’s good to clear the mind and re-energize.
What companies or leaders do you admire?
I admire leaders who have vision, integrity, and value their staff. A company can be both successful and a great place to work.
What has been the biggest shift you’ve noticed in your industry in the last decade?
In the finance industry, it’s the importance of technology and data analytics and the need to stay current with these skills.
Who has been most instrumental in your career?
I worked for a number of supportive partners when I was in public accounting. I was given the opportunity to lead and especially to present to different audiences. Great presentation skills are important as you move up in your career.
My husband has also been my champion and when I need a second opinion, he’s my go-to person.
What is your go-to celebration meal, drink or tradition?
I love to try new restaurants and food, plus a great glass of wine (or two).
