Q: As Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) continues toward its goal of feeding the impoverished in hard-to-reach places around the world, what is the biggest challenge toward reaching this ambitious goal?

A: Finding exceptional imbedded nongovernmental organizations (NGO’s) and missionaries in these countries who can get our meals into the tummies of the vulnerable children.

Q: What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?

A: Have faith and make room for God’s surprises.

Q: What is your mantra?

A: Are we having fun yet?

Q: How do you get yourself out of a slump?

A: Focus on feeding one child at a time.

Q: What companies or leaders do you admire?

A: Our feeding partners – they do such hard work every day. They have the heart of a pastor, the drive of an entrepreneur, and the guts of a marine!

Q: What has been the biggest shift you’ve noticed in your industry in the last decade?

A: Emphasizing the need for measurable outcomes in the relief industry. Are we really making a difference? This is very important information for donors and watch dog groups.

Q: If you could try a different job for a day, what would you choose?

A: I have the best job in the world. But, for a day, I would be an astronaut and fly to the international space station.

A: Favorite tradition is homemade Ravioli
